I am trying to update this 4G mobile WiFi device. Currently the firmware is showing as 4G_WiFi_V01.03.1, when attempting to follow through with the firmware update to 4G_WiFi_v01.05, this seems to fail. (It was able to do one round of firmware update, from recall, V2 to 3.)
The device is only a few days old, fresh from Currys, the device is working as expected only except for upgrading to the latest firmware.
Tried resetting the device and followed the same process of trying the firmware upgrade, it still fails. The sim card has data, the downloaded file completes, device reboots, checking the web dashboard for firmware states the upgrade failed. Does the new firmware have too many lines of code for the device to handle? Is there enough memory or resources on the device to handle the new firmware? Are these devices fragile to firmware updates, should the device be just left alone?
Just slightly annoying that I can't clear down the firmware update/notification, would be super useful to have the latest firmware on the device for either; performance or security!

Hi @354-,
Firmware updates would usually happen automatically in the background, with no need for any user intervention.
If it doesn't complete it automatically within a day or two, I'd recommend contacting Technical Support for advice.

Hi @James_B ,
Ok, will leave the device alone; the device is working & devices are able to connect to the 4G WiFi device and onwards to the world wide web.
