New preloaded sim ordered. Put in 4g router and not working. Have managed to check balance by connecting my phone to the router. Showing as my 8gb pre purchased bundle is stuck on waiting? How do I fix this please.

Thanks

Hi @Jakeisme,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

What happens if you try to load a webpage on a device connected to the router?

The internet works. Although slower than I had hoped.

Only showing less than 1mb upload?

But it's still showing waiting next to the bundle?

Hi @Jakeisme,

It looks like it's a phone SIM, rather than data SIM. If you make a call or send a text whilst the SIM is in your phone, your pack should start automatically.

Hope this helps.

I don't have a unlocked phone. Just a 4g unlocked router.

No problem @Jakeisme. All pay as you go SIMs come with 50MB of free data to get you started. As soon as this is used up, your pack will start.

I'd recommend trying your router in a few different locations around your home to see if your speeds improve.

Thank you. I have been on the phone to your colleagues who are also trying to help me too.

I have tried router in different locations so far but speed/signal hasn't improved.

I'm hoping once the prepaid bundle is fully activated this will improve. As when I used BT mobile before that was very fast and stable.

Does the network status checker report any problems in your area @Jakeisme?
