Hi All
So I have seen a lot of threads on this, but still can't get my EE sim to work in my 4G CPE 3 mobile router on IPV4 only.
My issue is when set to dual stack (IPV4/IPV6) services like Steam, or even things like VPNs don't work. So I followed the steps suggested in other threads, that said I should make a APN of IPV4 only which I did, however once I do that and try to browse to anything I get an a message of APN: Connection failed. When I switch it to dual stack the connection works, but then I still can't access services I want to like steam or my VPN.
Thanks

And of course, you can't set the APN type to v4 on an iphone as it's all locked down and configured by EE. I believe you can do this on Android,.

I spent again my lunch break and over on 150.
The support engineer was even better than the one I interacted with previously. Very knowledgeable and great customer orientation. However ...
I pointed him to the community discussion and he took the time needed to checked with the rest of his team and the answer is: we can't fix this for you. ticket opened and closed within minutes (ref: ID22619586).
I have been offered to be released from my contract obligations with EE and jump on another network provider, which is very gracious but somewhat annoying as the time involved won't be insignificant.
If anyone from EE is monitoring this forum - I'd welcome if you can escalate.

I may have been wrong at pointing my finger to EE and discharging Apple which (let me self-defence) had been my first battle aim.
I noticed the loss of IPV4 after upgrading iOS from 17.2 to 17.2.1 , then17.3 and 17.3.1 kept the new unwelcome behaviour
The fact that an older iPhone with my EE SIM gets both IPV4 and IPV6 suggests that the problem is with the phone OS.
I had opened a 'discussion' with Apple after having tries all avenues to talk to them, but I feel I am unable to get them to listen
