Huawei B535.333 router

Before switching to EE I was using 3 and their router. I installed a PAYG sim card in the router to confirm all worked and signal quality. All great.

Bought a sim only, monthly contract package but now find my smart TV or Alexa will not connect.  The devices connect to the router but do not get internet.

Replacing with a PAYG sim all works as expected.

I borrowed an older Huawei AI Cube and the pay monthly sim works!

I need to get the B535.333 fully working as it has arial out connections that I require.

Tech. guys at EE can't help as it's not their router.

I feel sure there must be a simple configuration setting within the router that is blocking some devices but not others.

I am running IPV4 with UPnP selected.

Many thanks in avance for any solutions

Check the APN Settings are correct for EE Network on the IPV4 is this set to IPV4 Only rather than IPV4/6 and Authentication is set to PAP. Could be the PAYG SIM in ignoring the IPV6.

Also you could try and create a New APN Profile and set as default rather than edit the existing one.

You could also try taking out User and Password Settings and set to None ie,

User is (left empty) and not set to eesecure

Password is (left empty) and not set to secure

Reboot the Router after every Settings Change and Reboot everything else on the Network at the same time the Router is being Rebooted, ie TV, Media Stick, media Server or media source etc.

By the way you do know that having UPnP selected is a bit of a security risk but that's your call.

Many thanks, please treat me as a newbie to this technical stuff.

I only changed the upnp setting as the AI Cube had that set as default on,  that router/settings worked. I will revert back to it being off now I know what it does.

The router only offers a setting for IpV4 or IpV6, not an auto select.

I will try your other suggestions tonight.

I also thought about reinstalling the PAYG sim, noting all the settings then using those for the contract sim.

I am having *exactly* the same issue...

All working great PAYG. I upgraded to monthly, did not even change or remove the sim, and now I have issues.

When only IPv4 is selected, the router will not connect to EE. When IPv4 & IPv6 selected,  router works for IPv6 traffic,  but not IPv4, which gets ignored.

All suggestions so far are... switch to IPv4, but it simply doesn't work.

Very frustrating!

Hi @Jabbaw0k.

What issue are you having that you need to change to IPv4 for?

Jon

Amazon Echo Dot (gen3) devices are not working, along with some Firestick
apps including Netflix.

I don't want to change to IPv4, but that appears to be a workaround.

I would prefer to use CLAT as a workaround, but have been unable to find
details of enabling it yet.
