Can't see the Pic yet, as it needs to be approved by a Mod or Admin before Public can see it.

thats fine i appreciate your help i know the plate pushes away on the ZTE MC7010 outdoors but not sure about these EE 5G outdoor routers and dont want to purchase it if i cant get it through a hole to outside thanks

OK, in the absense of Pics, I think I understand what you mean, there is some extra Plate / Weather Proofing Cover or something that screws into the Outside Device, in that case just work backwards, so the Cable End withe the Cover stays outside then pull the other end (just a Cable and Plug)  back into where your internal Router Device and POE Power Supply is located.

So in a nutshell something like this, Outdoors - Outer Router Device + Wearher protected Ethernet Cable, is then fed Inside, to the Indoor POE Power Supply Brick, then the smaller Ethernet Cable is fed from the POE PSU Brick and plugs into your Indoor Router which you locate for best WiF Reception and this Device has its own Power Supply, if that all makes sense.

Try and get the Outdoor unit as high as possible on a pole Mast or something rather that bolting it to the side of the Van. Ideally you will need to point the Outdoor Device to you best EE Mast (I can probably help you where to point it if you PM you Vans Postcode) .

Out of interest does your Static Van not have a Service Hole or Remade Service Entrence underneath somewhere.

OK, you mentioned ZTE MC 7010 (know it well) but just to confirm EE don't use the 7010, the EE Router will be an Outdoor Askey Device, but the overall type of Device is simular so just treat the Installation as similar, apart from the EE Outdoor Router  will have its own Indoor Device (also an Askey), unless you have sourced the Outdoor Device on its own without the Paired indoor Router Device (let's hope not).

hi there thanks for your reply i cant explain this properly i dont think i can go for it as the other end of the etherent cable has something like a square box with 2 screw holes in what you connect another ethernet cable to im not sure ive explained properly but hopefully you might get the pictures i sent so you can see exactly what i mean thanks

hi i can purchase an unlocked version of the MC7010 that was on 3network what would you reccomend this one or the ee 5g one thanks

Yea Im looking at the Pics now, not that clear as its still wrapped in the Bag, but yea, I get what your saying, at one end is the Connecter with a Weather Proof Plate for the Outdoor Router, then on the other end looks like a RJ45 single Patch Socket that needs could be screwed to something inside, so yeas that needs to go Indoors as its exposed so doesnt look like it has any weather protection, so yea you would need to accommodate the Hole Size for one or the other then work the Cable Route out from there.

Bit of a weird design if im honest, also has (as most OD Routers do these days) the small flat type Ethernet Cable which is claimed can be squashed through a Closed Window Frame, this is not something I would do or recommend, Drill a Hole every time, in fact I personally don't use the Flat Cable, I discard it and use proper Covered Outdoor Specked Cat5E/6 Cable Run then use Screw Up Weather Glands and if needed additional Outdoor Junction Boxes.

I suppose you could Mount the Single Indoor Patch Socket outside in some form of Weather Proof Junction Box, then just run a normal Ethernet through a Weather Gland to the Inside, might be a way forward but its your call.

hi thanks for your reply i can purchase a ZTE MC7010 on 3 network which has been unlocked to all networks and also a ZTE T3000 router as a full package there both together in the same box and slightly a bit cheaper than the ee outdoor router would tou reccomend the ZTE package rather than the ee package routers thanks
