Gamepass coupon code on eBay purchased.

Gamepass coupon code on eBay purchased. When I went to activate it wouldn’t. After speaking with Microsoft representative, I was told I would have to deal with 3rd party which is EE. Any suggestions? The Xbox live account is showing as active but I can’t get into any gameplay with it.

What did you buy from ebay. 

My understanding is the gamespass it connected to the users account (the person who is paying the bill or has the add-on)
