For a market leading company, the EE website is an absolute joke and has been for as long as I can remember.
I've been trying to research various EE product to buy, but keep getting
"Oopps, that didn't work, please try later"
Error xxxx bad request
Error request header is too long
Error 400
Code 500 Quota Violation
Come on EE, it's always been the slowest website ever, but for the last couple of days it's almost impossible to do anything.
You NEED to start paying for decent web hosting (you should be able to do that yourselves), AND you need to start paying decent money (you make enough of it) to decent software engineers/website designers. Yes, there are lots out there, all ready to earn a fair income and could do a whole lot better than present.
What impression does it give to prospective new customers?
What does a long standing, multi line customer like me do - I'm looking to spend more money with you, but your website is so broken, I can't.
Maybe I just migrate the lot to another provider?
Come on, sort it out.

I can confirm that the site does not work properly for me either, since forced transfer from PlusNet more than a year ago.
Changing browser, trying another devices, clearing cookies, biscuits, and cache do not solve the problem. The issue is with the poor site script. Honestly, for such a company this should have been addressed a long time ago. Funnily, the tech support at one points could not access some services either. Is there anyone there who actually cares about the customers and may be even getting new ones?

I am sorry to hear this, do you get an error message when you log into your EE account?
Which part of the site are you experiencing problems with?
Leanne.

Yeah, absolutely shocking for a website in 2024 to be this bad!

Hi @Ghettofunk
Thanks for posting on the community.
Are you having a problem accessing your EE account or is this related to a specific area of the website?
Leanne 🙂

having the same issue, constantly when logged in
every area of the site it happens, it is random and complains about the cookie header being too large
it is not my PC, tried multiple browsers, cleared cache, even tried incognito mode just in case
the fact it is happening to more than just the odd user at random intervals means it is not a user issue, it is your site - and given how long this ticket is open and how important a website is to a company like EE it is insane that it is this bad

Hi there @ZombEtag
Thanks for coming to the community.
Can you view your account details such as billing and plan details or do you get this error as soon as you log in?
Do you get the same error message in the EE app?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

yes and no, I can view the account but randomly it fails to load with the header being too large error, it happens randomyl when loading ANY page on the site
I haven't tried the app - when it comes to browsing products the website is better for me (or should be if it wasn't faulting all the time)

Thanks @ZombEtag
If this happens regularly when logged in, please contact our tech guides on 150 they can get this investigated for you and raise a support ticket to the relevant team or add your details to an existing ticket if needed.
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Whenever I get messages to check for a renewal deal or get wi-fi 7, the site just times out, saying a problem at our end.
Now if EE & BT are one and the same company, why didn't I have this much grief when I was a BT customer, in checking for available upgrades.
Because it's making me think, maybe I should've stayed with BT, and not fall into the switch trap.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem, @robh661
Are you able to try using a different device or browser to see if the same thing happens?
Chris
