Can't link EE pay go SIM to EE account

J2MMY

I have received a pay as you go sim card by post. When I select to link it to my existing EE account online, it says there is an error linking and to try again later. When I try later, I get the same error.

The pay as you go sim card is showing signal and can make calls etc.

Thanks

Was this resolved?

Am having the same issue as others here.

No, it's still an ongoing issue. @Katie_B is trying to resolve!

Hi @Bandrews

Thanks for coming here.

Is this a new pay as you go SIM card?

Have you had an EE account using the same email address previously?

Leanne.

Hi @Leanne_T

Thanks,

This is a new pay as you go Sim Card - it can detect the sim but when I go to connect it fails - seems to be the same issue raised by others here.

I have not had an EE account previously (with this email or any other email).

Thanks,

 Ben

Hello there.

Exactly same linking issue here. Brand new PAYG SIM and a brand new account.

Once I put the SIM in the phone I got greeting text and I was able to answer a call. Calling out is impossible so the promotional £10 wasn't applied.

Does that help you help me please? 🙂

Update to my post above. Linking worked the next day. Not sure if it's about lapsed time, the fact that I have used 150 to to up £10 or you guys doing something on your end.

There doesn't seem to be a promotional £10. Not sure what the £10 printed on the outer packet means but it's misleading in my opinion.
