hi,  is EE started implementing 2FA on website ?  twice today when logging into website, I been asked to activate 2FA and really not want to activate as its a text 2FA.  I prefer authenticator app but don't give you that option.

thanks

Hi @alistairmck1

That is correct and I would also prefer this option but it's not available yet.

Thanks

I've just joined EE, coming from BT.

I couldn't agree more that 2FA via mobile number only, without even an offline backup access code, is marginally better than useless. Options need to be included for an account as important as a communication account, and these days they really must not only include TOTP (app-based) but also hardware keys (YubiKeys etc.) and, actually, Passkeys.

EE, please get on board with modern 2FA solutions ASAP, can't be that hard, and at least make the better ones optional!

Or just use passkeys!
