Urgent Help for Recovering My Number

DanielaStephan
Visitor

Hi, I recently deactivated my EE contract around a month ago, but I still have access to my account online and I would like to reactivate my number if possible. I am currently abroad (in Riyadh), so I’m unable to visit a store, but I’m happy to complete any verification needed online. Could you please let me know if my number can still be reinstated or if there are any options to recover it (for example, reactivating the contract or moving it to pay-as-you-go)? I would really appreciate your help.

If you mean you deactivated your contract by cancelling it with 30 days notice then you relinquished your no. for good & can't get it back. It's also too late to move it to PAYG.

However if the 30 days notice period hasn't yet expired there's still a chance you can get it back by calling CS & cancelling your cancellation.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Hi @DanielaStephan

Welcome to the community.

If it was cancelled within 90 days, it could be possible to re-activate it. You'll need to speak with our customer support team, so they can do some checks on your account. You can find our contact information, including an international number, on our contact us page.

The other complication to bear in mind, is that a new SIM activation should normally be completed on EE's UK network, not a foreign one. It "can" work, but does come with additional variables and is not guaranteed.

Certainly a new PAYG SIM needs activation in the UK and cannot be done whilst already abroad, this is quite a common issue with users migrating from pay-monthly in advance of extended foreign trips.

You really do need to contact EE-CS ASAP, assuming you're within the timescale specified by Christopher above.
