Customer of 10+ years. Travelling Asia for 6 months - Changed my pay monthy to PAYG to keep number and allow me to restart a contract when i return to UK. Was told to top up every 3 months to keep active.

Phone broke last week, tried to get SMS through to verify Whatsapp and other apps and seen my account has been closed without any email or notice.

I can't sign in to messaging apps, i can't call and can't text and can't access chat bot as its not a service for PAYG. Urgentlyl need a way to get my account re-activated so i don't lose my number and i can top up and get SMS through to sign into all my apps on my phone. Completely stuck and its very urgent as in Laos with number or resolution. Online complaints forms say 7+ days and i can't call EE as its £6 per minute from my partners phone and mine has been disabled.

@AdSun97 : When was your SIM moved to PAYG? It takes 30 days notice to cancel a contract & before it is moved to PAYG. Had that change taken place while abroad you can't now use it at all while abroad. To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

You need to call CS to delete your old contract MyEE a/c & then you can set up your new PAYG MyEE a/c afresh, using the same mobile no. & email addy if desired. You can't mix them under MyEE.

I spoke to EE and moved it to PAYG before I left the UK in October.
I was told to top up the account within 3 months.
It appears the account has been closed due to inactivity sooner than the 3
months, unless i have my dates wrong.
Either way, I just need the account to stay active so I don't lose my
number.
Not sure how i can resolve this with EE when i can't call them due to my
deactivated account and the lack of alternative contact methods other than
calling them or raising a complaint which takes 7 days for them to respond
minimum.

But while in UK did you make any calls or texts with the PAYG SIM?
