Upfront cost of phone taken but credit check declined

I applied for a pay monthly contract yesterday and paid the upfront cost for the phone of £30 however the credit check was declined and there is nothing to suggest anywhere that I will be refunded or when.

 

My credit report is actually good (on Experian) so I assumed I had inputted some details incorrectly and then tried a second time and was once again rejected, no idea why.

 

I am now £60 out of pocket with nothing to show for it except mild confusion, does anyone know if I’m getting my money back?

Lol laughable and then they ask you for your account number…….only I don’t have an account and then they transfer you round in circles.Like I said please name the specific department that deal with these refunds and their department contact number!

@Zowiekye62 : Try calling CS on +44 800 956 6000 (option 2 > option 4) . That won't ask for an EE mobile no.

It is a known fact these companies take the deposit and decline most customers. You will get the money you paid back but it will take a lot of hassle and they rely on many people giving up on it . You can have perfect credit or poor credit . It will make no difference. I worked for a respected company but know this is part of all mobile suppliers policy . I hope you get it back

Hello i try to make a contract with ee and i paid £30 the deposit and them my credit check was failed and the money never come back to my account

The upfront payment would have been back in your available balance with the bank within 7 working days. How long ago was the contract declined?

Hi I did the same my credit check failed and I still not yet received my refund !? It been more than 3- 5 working days as I did on 24th August. When will I receive this back it the second week this week. What do I do if doesn't go in by end of this week?
