Don’t use EE in Malta

Idiots

My son went to Malta for 2 days and I have just been hit with an £8k phone bill. I called EE and they said that there is something wrong with their billing system. My phone and my kids phones have been cut off twice today as I am over my credit limit despite being told they have fixed the issue of being cut off and now the office is closed. EE, you really are appalling. The worst customer service ever.

Slightly suspicious that you would seek to moderate a publicly available phone number for Ofcom, available on the Ofcom website!? But instead I think it might be useful for people to know that I registered a complaint with Ofcom this morning via their website on an online form. This then emailed me a log number. I rang Ofcom to discuss this and then have given me a number for EE and ask that I ring them and quote the reference.
If anyone wishes to message me for any help, feel free, I’d hate to think anyone was being obstructed ?

Did you get a response from Ofcom

Yes, they gave me the complaint number for EE and logged the case. I would urge others to do the same. I can’t post the complaint number here as no doubt it will get moderated? But send me a message I’ll send you it gladly?

Do we need your number to make a complaint , would it be useful?

If you use my log number, it’s still only one complaint. I think this should reflect the number of people affected therefore making a complaint in your own right escalates things.
I’ve just spoken to the complaint department in EE, not 100% happy with the explanation I received, turns out, as I suspected the weekend didn’t help, so I’ve asked to escalate this to the Ombudsman, which is a different organisation to Ofcom.
It’s the lack of communication from a company that specifically sell’s communication that has astounded me. This is an EE forum, why is there nothing on here to placate worried people? Not everyone who reads this has registered so EE can’t brush this off as a few isolated cases.
It’s not about the problem it’s about the action. So far rubbing fictitious charges from EE accounts is good, but not enough. EE have let us down. In an era where we are encouraged to dispense with home phones we have been left cut off through no fault of our own.

I’d like to see EE own this, get a post on here, tell us that you’re sorting it, not to worry and what affected people need to do to get help? Is it just me, or doesn’t that sound reasonable for such a large company?

It’ll probably get moderated or deleted , but I’ll try?

Excellent, not to stir the pot, but have you seen the EE number above? Lady I spoke to was very nice, in fact to be fair, everyone I’ve spoken to has been, just wish I didn’t need to speak to them in the first place 🙁

Yep just spoken to them, they are getting back to me, a lovely man. So reasuuring. Hes going to update me as soon as he has any more info but said my account has been credited with the amount
