Hi there

please help me. I found out that I have been charged £367 for my calls. I had tried to call to my family in Iran and I was trying to use FaceTime, I didn’t know that I have been charged for this. You know internet is down in Iran and we don’t have any access to connect them. Please help me. This is too much money.

Any "call" using an app such as WhatsApp, Messenger or Facetime is not handled by your phone or EE's network as a voice call but data usage.

If your bill shows a voice call, then you will have dialled this from your phone's call dialler and it should show in your call log.

Usage of apps will be covered under your data allowance. If you're regularly calling Iran, I'd recommend one of the add-ons under https://shop.ee.co.uk/international/pay-monthly-international-calls

@Alireza60 , unfortunately, you will have to pay for this, EE will not let you off if you used normal voice call and not an app to make calls. There are apps you can use, which make calls to phone lines much cheaper, worth doing a search. Two I can name, are Skype and Viber, but you will have to make sure that you have credit on them.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

International calls & texts to overseas nos. from UK can be rather expensive but EE has a free add-on that anyone, on PAYG or contract, can apply for to give these calls & texts at a fraction of the standard rates. See The Free CALL ABROAD Add-on for Cheap Calls/Texts from UK .
