Like other posts I have had no land line connection for 48 hours. Attempts to contact EE help line have proved impossible as the recorded automated answer message is gabbled at high speed.
It is odd that the Plus Net signal is stronger than EE which is odd as I thought that EE had taken over PlusNet

@jdpseahorsex What has signal strength got to do with anything, EE/BT/PN are all companies that are separate businesses and all owned by the BT Group, throw OR Openreach in that mix also and soon to be TalkTalk.
No phone then 48hrs is long enough to get it all working DV Digital Voice connected to the back off an EE Hub ATA phone socket, try PHONE or HELP to 66033 as a text from a mobile that is registered to your EE account. GUIDE to same number if you wish to talk, they may just call you back.

Agree. But when I dial the help line the answerphone bot gabbles at such
high speed for me to understand the gist of what she(it) is saying. Will
keep trying...record the message and play it back slowly perhaps...

Wifi signal strength has nothing to do with it its the connection to the hub that matters any provider will only messaure downstream speed
if your device has nework connection buy cat5 or above ethernet cable
do a speed test over wifi first then ethernet if the above applies
It is odd that the Plus Net signal is stronger than EE which is odd as I thought that EE had taken over PlusNet
this might be that the auto setting for the wifi is better than the plusnet atuo setting is less sensitive to interference over wiifi
EE BT and PLUSNET are different companies in the same group
thats why people who are with bt who ordered an EE product are told During ordering to continue using a bt router
