ee wifi hotspot not connecting

hana16

Hello,

I've had an EE Broadband for years now and I noticed that the previous bt wifi hotspot near me has now become an EE Wifi hotspot which I have been trying to connect to with my regular ee details but it doesn't let me connect. It doesn't say incorrect password or anything, it just refreshes to the same page once I press login.

Any ideas?

@uncertain  you need to use the same details you had when you were at BT - if you still have an account.

EE WiFi is not a free service for EE Mobile or Broadband Customers.

No, @Mustrum ? What's this in the EE WiFi help page?

Most new EE Broadband and BT Broadband customers are automatically registered for EE WiFi, unless you've opted out. You can get online at an EE WiFi hotspot using your EE ID or BT ID and password.

@XRaySpeX     I guess you missed the relevant bit from that Help Page:

Most new EE Broadband

@Mustrum : No, I didn't! You said "Broadband Customers" which includes all adjectively qualified "Broadband Customers" 😉 . Had you said "legacy Broadband Customers" you would have been correct.

This is a known issue.

Some BT logins are not being recognised by the EE login system for WiFi hotspot access.

The workaround at the moment is to call EE and get a free 30 day pass from them.

There is no time frame for the solution at this time.

Does anyone have a solution yet or is this still an issue?

I too have this problem

Same as others - accepts password and then goes back to login page for EE Wi-Fi.

have already confirmed with EE that I’m eligible and awaiting follow up, then stumbled across this where others have had same issues

I am an ee broadband customer, not BT broadband

But, @Tomkat50 , are you an EE New BB user? How long have you had EE BB?
