hi all,
i’m currently being charged 64.99 for 1.6gbps broadband.
circumstances have changed, and i’d like to downgrade.
but early june, i called cs (about something totally unrelated), and i was offered a renewal. i very stupidly took it without checking online first.
can i ask if i’m able to get the new customer price i found (35.99) instead of what i’m paying currently?
when i told them about change of circumstance, the only package i’m offered is 36mbps. i live with two other people, and theres 7 devices between us. i don’t think those speeds will cut it, honestly.
i’m being quoted 2k to cancel, which i obviously don’t have. do i have any choice here? or is it only between the new BT broadband and my current plan?
TIA.

@cobies You would never have been offered or got the New Customer lower price as you are an existing customer, if you have now passed the cool down period then you are committed to the price for the 24 Months off the contract. If they have offered to lower your price at the way lower speed, then you have to make the choice, seems obvious that you have to do it or keep paying the Premium price for the Premium product.

The online prices you see on EE site are for new custs. You are not a new customer. You are an existing customer seeking to upgrade your BB contract.
EE sets attractive prices to rope in more new customers. They've already got you.
