A couple of years ago i moved over from BT broadband/mobile to EE broadband and mobile on the back of an email i got from BT advising that they are in the process of moving my Mobile contracts to EE but i didnt need to do anything and later they'd move over my broadband, to make everything easier for me i called BT as just asked them to move my broadband now, to which they said yes that no problem. Fast forward 18 months and my circumstances have changed and im feeling the pinch, so i rang EE customer services and asked if i could reduce my tv package down (as i was paying extra so i could swap and change each month), i asked them to put me on the very basic and is there anything they could do to reduce my broadband bill as i was paying at the time £101/month (this included extras) and at the time i could see EE was selling the same broadband deal (with the same extras) for 87.99. The answer was a flat out no!!! the reason was id come over from BT and the speed paired with the tv package i had wasn't "compatible" with EE's systems and that id have to cancel the plan, leave it for a month and come back. I left it but recently the package became difficult to keep up with, so i rang EE customer services again and asked again and explained my circumstances to be told NO again, i made a complaint the the case handler was fantastic, he took away the whole TV package and got rid of all the Broadband extras which reduced it to 87.99/month. Now to present day, i get a notification that i can upgrade on the app, i check the options and i see the same broadband package for £41, i ask if i could be change to this as im struggling financially and they've refused, is this correct? im mid contract and ill do what it take to try and make this work, but halfing my broadband bill in half nearly, would go a long way in helping. Do i have any options on this or am i set with the same price for another 10months?

You can't downgrade to a cheaper plan mid-term, but only in your upgrade window from 30 days before end of term.
