Upgrading from old BT smart hub 2 to an EE 6 plus - how?

Is there an easy way to keep all my settings when changing from a BT smart hub 2 to an EE hub 6 plus?

Or do have to setup a new WiFi and connect all devices back to it again?

The WiFi SSID is BT{numbers), so I'm not bothered on SSID name, but would rather not have to go through whole house to reconnect everything again if possible. Or shall actually start again afresh?

Also I'm reading the 6 plus has better WiFi, as in different standard. Will my devices just autoconnect to the new SSID somehow?

Yes EE app. When I try add new EE hub shows a pic of old hub, and just fails on new hub every time

@MrA11 Contact EE CS and make sure that they have added your Smarthub6+ serial number to your account, if they have not then you will only ever see the old BT hub! Number you will find on the Router label if not on the packaging box!

I know its an old post but not seen the answer for other users,

We just replaced the used the old details  SSID name and password from our BT hub and copied them over to the EE router... 15 minutes max and every device was up and running as if nothing had changed.
