Hi all, I've been a bt customer for years and currently paying nearly £50 for just 55mb internet... no other services.
On my account it offered me a switch over to ee broadband for 900mb internet for the same price, obviously I took up the offer it said there was no extra charges, no install fee ect. Ive had the confirmation email about installation on the 15th of may, and then something about i will be charged a final bt bill.
I am now seriously panicking as i have a year left in my bt contract, am I going to be charged the whole remaining bill!? Is it classed as a cancellation? Can't ring up right now due to the time and bank holiday, hoping someone can help clear this up.
If i do get charged the whole remaining bill, am I able to cancel this contract change?
Thank you

You shouldn't be charged Early Termination Fees in moving from BT to EE but you'll still get a final bill for your usage up the date of moving to EE, currently projected at 15th May, which could even be a refund taking into account that you have been paying your bills 1 month in advance.

@Pixilate sounds like the computer has messed up, you should give CS a call in the morning. If you have gone through your MYBT you should not be charged/get it refunded. If you have gone direct to EE, then you may need to cancel and try again via CS.
