Hi, I have a problem with adding the extender- the extender connects to the router and shows in th elist of WiFi available but when I try to connect by using the correct password, it does not work (it says it cannot connect to the wifi). What should I do, I logged in to  my hub manager as admin, there are no access controls in place. I read something about MAC filtering but I cannot find it on my hub manager. What should I do?
Many thanks.

Kind regards,

Klaudia

@KlaudiaD

Which password are you using?

The router's password... (I checked, I'm entering it correctly)

Which router's pwd? The admin pwd to get into the router itself or the router's WiFi network pwd used to connect devices to it or are you mixing these 2 pwds up?

Ah, sorry- I'm using the router's wifi password to connect the extender to the wifi (that part doesn't work, despite extender being able to initially pair/communicate with the router). I did use the admin password to get into the router's admin page to see if there is any setting in the router blocking devices connecting to wifi ( I dont have access controls enabled and could not find MAC filtering which II read somwhere that it could be responsible)

I didn't think any pwd was involved in connecting up an extender Don't you just pair it to to the router close by using Ethernet or WPS, wait a few mins & then move extender to where you want it whilst it maintains a solid Aqua light?

Thank you XRaySpeX for your replies. Somehow I was able to fix the problem, not 100% sure what did it but it worked!
