Having trouble connecting wirelessly to a Dell 1760 laser (circa 2016) after moving from the BT to EE router. Worked for a while but recently lost connection and can't get it restored. Tried a few suggestions from other posts, pairing with printer and router buttons doesn't work, wireless status on the printer reports no reception, deleting and re-installing via windows doesn't work either. Can't ping from a command prompt. Connected with a cable and still couldn't connect but suddenly wifi connected. Removed cable and no connection again.

@tmarsh12345 Do you have any cables connected to the printer, either usb or nic cable?

XRaySpeX, no in that I have tried all the suggestions but still cannot connect. The subnet mask and gateway were wrong on the printer so I reset them but printer just times out attempting to connect.
JimM11, no cables. I will try a cable to the switch.

What were they? It might give us a clue.

Suhbnet is 255.255.255.0, gateway is 192.168.1.254. Should have said all other devices are connected OK.
I ran a cable to my switch but the printer doesn't show in the router.

@tmarsh12345 Your one line quick response answers are of no use to man nor beast? Crystal ball does not expand to see what you are doing. Wireless setup as far as the Dell manual for the printer say's, you cannot setup wireless printer connection if either/both the usb or network cable are connected. You may wish to download and read that manual, but it may be a simple as you fixed the IP's on the printer originally, and the EE Router may not like any off it.

The printer will not connect wirelessly after having tried all the suggestions on this thread. I have manually set the wireless settings, gateway, subnet mask etc. on the printer but still no wireless access. It will connect with an ethernet cable. Hopefully that's clear now.
The printer worked for several months after the new EE hub was set up so I'm thinking maybe it is a problem with the printer rather than the router.

@tmarsh12345 And if you ever used the EE app then it will have all the details of the printer stored in the app.
Is the Ethernet direct to the printer or via the switch? Also would recommend you download the Dell Printer manual, the fact that the ethernet connects, you should be able to run all the dell printer utilities to see what is going on.
