Having trouble connecting wirelessly to a Dell 1760 laser (circa 2016) after moving from the BT to EE router. Worked for a while but recently lost connection and can't get it restored. Tried a few suggestions from other posts, pairing with printer and router buttons doesn't work, wireless status on the printer reports no reception, deleting and re-installing via windows doesn't work either. Can't ping from a command prompt. Connected with a cable and still couldn't connect but suddenly wifi connected. Removed cable and no connection again.

@tmarsh12345 You may have to drop down the settings of the EE Router, so post up the model of the Router, if it has a WPS connect on the printer, will need to be close together on the first instance, then you may be able to move the printer to its location, also have a look on dell to see what is involved in resetting the printer back to wireless defaults.

Router is SH32B. Printer has WPS and is about 6' from the hub.

@tmarsh12345 Would have thought that was close enough, normally do them closer, but press and hold the wps button side of the router, make sure it's light starts to flash, once it does flash, press the wps button on the printer, printer i think indicates a good pairing.

Nope! Times out. I did a manual connect entering the password into the printer (Not fun, cycling through 2 alphabets, upper and lower case!) but no go. How do I drop down the settings of the Router?

@tmarsh12345 You need to logon to the router via http://192.168.1.254 web manager, ideally with a pc/laptop, go to advanced wireless settings, you will need the admin password from the card, first turn of the 5Ghz band, save and try the wps again, if it does not work look at WPA2-Personal mode, save and try again, finally performance mode adjust and try. If/Once you get it connected, then remember to put the 5Ghz back on, and SAVE is important to apply changes.
And if the printer had a NIC card installed, why are you not connecting via Ethernet to the printer?
Any device connected via Ethernet takes 20seconds for the device and the EE Router to respond to each other, so keep that in mind....

Unfortunately none of those worked. Each time the printer panel displays press WPS on router but nothing changes, printer wifi button continues to flash, won't go solid.

Try WiFi6-Compatibility Mode.

No. Could it be a faulty network card in the printer?

@tmarsh12345 The printer has 3 interfaces, USB, Wireless and if installed a NIC Card, The nic will be 10/100 at best, so the router may not like that, do you have an old Switch that you can cable printer to and the switch to router?
