Openreach say FTTP available, EE say not!

Hi,

Openreach say FTTP is now available to order. I have confirmed this with some other broadband providers.

However, EE say it is not available, both on their site and via a call to 150.

Can I do anything to speed up the process and get them in sync, or is it just a waiting game?

Hi, BT offer 330Mbps, Vodafone offer 1600Mbps.

@MadeInYorkshire As @Mustrum has pointed out then BT/EE are not at the ready stage yet, looking like the others all got the running boots on a lot quicker, waiting game for BT/EE to catch up with the rest.

@MadeInYorkshire   given all ISP's using the Openreach network, they will all be restricted to 330Mbps for now, so anyone showing higher will not be able to deliver it just yet.. Hopefull it won't be too long though.

Voda will be taking it off the CityFibre network, not OR's.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Hi.

Just noticed that cabinet 4 (me) is 330, but cabinet 3 (a few houses away) is 1000.

No idea if that adds any valuable info?

@MadeInYorkshire Cabinet's are NOT used, the fibre routes from your home direct to the BT/OR Exchange, who does what is the question is it BT or OR, OR is infrastructure Cable/Lines/Poles/Ducts etc but BT may still be Exchanges...

Ah right, well it’s not that then 😉

Thanks for the info.

@MadeInYorkshire I posted up somewhere before, but this was the scenario, OR finished around June 2024 time, and said we are already to go, as i was registered to get info from them, it took until Sept 2024 for EE to get all the ducks in a row before FF could be ordered/bought/installed and then i could see that online in my account, so did so then and went from there. Hi,

Thanks for all the help with this everyone.

The checker changed to 1000Mbps this morning, so I’ve placed an order for install on the 19th.

Can’t pretend I’m not mega excited!

@MadeInYorkshire   great news, hope all goes well with the install and it does not take too long.

Let us know how it goes.

Edit - if you use the desktop version, not the mobile one, there should be text below the BTW DSL table, which should give more details on how your new fibre will be delivered and if there are any anticipated issues.
