Openreach say FTTP available, EE say not!

Hi,

Openreach say FTTP is now available to order. I have confirmed this with some other broadband providers.

However, EE say it is not available, both on their site and via a call to 150.

Can I do anything to speed up the process and get them in sync, or is it just a waiting game?

Hi,

This now shows as available to order, however at a max speed of 330Mbps, which is disappointing.

A few houses away it says 1000Mbps.

I’ve checked with EE and they also say max 330Mbps.

Sky and others say 1000Mbps!  Does anyone know why there is this discrepancy?

TIA.

@MadeInYorkshire It's time for you to check what it say's on the OR Fibre checker first, click on the link below.

Edit:- There is a few parts to what/what not can be done, OR say's/ BTW say's, / and finally what/when EE are ready at the Exchange side, until all the parts align then it's the COMPUTER say's NO....

Fibre Checker

You sure it says WBC FTTP? A max of 330 Meg is usually G.Fast, a variant of FTTC.

Hi, it says 1600Mbps.

Hi, image attached.

@MadeInYorkshire   it looka like all of the work has not yet completed in the BTW network, so you will need to wait a bit longer if you want over 300Mbps

@MadeInYorkshire So it's looking like OR are ready for full speed's, some off the BB ISP's like Sky etc are ready to give you gigabit speed, but BTW are still behind or hopefully not going to restrict you to max 330Mb/s, this can be Exchange side, oversold on max and EE etc will be only offered that speed, would be worth having a look at say Vodafone on the BB side to see what they offer, DO NOT use sky as a ref as they can have there own side and agreement's with BTW. Also take a quick look if BT offer up to gigabit also. HTH

Hi, this could well be true.  It's only updated in the past couple of hours.
