We had a power cut this morning and since then I can't reconnect our WiFi. I've tried all restarts including factory reset but it just has a green light and every 30 seconds or so a quick white flash then back to green. Can anyone help please?

@JW8114 so are you saying then that it did not complete the factory reset, did you hold button for longer than 20 seconds and watch if the light sequence changed while holding button in?

Yes, held it for longer, no change to light sequence at all.

Other people who also had power cut now saying the same on Facebook. Some with EE, talk talk, Sky... others saying there's are fine though.

@JW8114 As you have yet to say what router you have, lets just go with the suggestion that it is done, and you need to call EE CS for a replacement.

I think it's a smart hub plus.

@JW8114 Then if the hold reset button in until you see a change on the front led does not work, it is toast and replacement required, would also pull your DSL RJ11 cable out just in case.... See the second link PSU was bad, and this could have happened to yours with the brownout when power went out.

@GrahamJP1 If it so happens to be just the PSU unit that has failed, if you try that first then you should connect up after the router reboots in 5 minutes.

Received a new router this morning, managed to get it fired up...for all of four minutes then a solid green light but no wifi or Internet. Now told I need a visit from Openreach - first appointment next Wednesday morning. A house full of youngsters over the Easter Weekend and, because I went all in on streaming, no Internet or TV.
Use you mobile data said the man from EE, which would certainly be a possibility if it were not for the fact that living on the edge of Telford we have between 0 and I bar (if the wind is blowing in the right direction)
Poor fibre broadband coverage, very poor 5G coverage - third world stuff and when there's a catastrophic failure third world service.

Thanks for the update here @GrahamJP1.
I'm disappointed to hear that the new router hasn't done the job with this one, and I totally appreciate it's far from an ideal time for this all to be going down.
Please keep us posted on how you get on with Openreach, and I'm confident they'll be able to get this sorted for you.
Peter
