No WPA2(AES) config in Main advncd settings now incompatible with Smart Plugs

Just had a full reset performed remotely by EE agent to solve a digital voice issue.  Before the reset I had a perfect wifi setup  plus 3 EE extenders, with no issues.

Post update none of my extenders worked and none of my smartplugs worked.  I reset all my extenders - so now working but Smartplugs are still an issue.

My prior firmware did not force me to select a  dual mode - Main and Compatability Option.  I think everything was on a single page and I think I had high spec WPA2(AES) security set and this worked perfectly across all my devices.

Now I notice that Main is set to WPA3-Personal-Transition which I think is the problem now.

I don;t want too much EE I only want 1 Main service and I want the ability to have ALL my connections on WPA2(AES) etc with all the SAME SSID and Passwd.  Otherwise I need to resync all my WPA2 only compliant devices with another SSID.

I've tried WPA3-Personal-Transition in Main but this is incompatible with the Smart Plugs

I've turned off Main and tired just  Compatability on both frequecies and  using WPA-WPA2-Personal.  This brings in some SmartPlugs however this doesnt provide wifi  with Apple devices (such as Macs or Iphones) as the WPA security mode is too low it sees the SSID but will not connect.

Can someone help - can I get my old firmware version rolled back or has someone solved this another way or why can't under main I have the full suite of security version available including WPA2 (AES)  etc?

EE have you thought the functionality through here - I can't be the only one?

Screen shot is from EE help page

@JPH70 The new FW upgrade to the latest version does leave a lot to be desired, never mind that your equipment all began to mis function, i found the same after EE upgraded the latest FW and the network became highly unstable. The only thing i did not do was Factory reset the router. To start again you may wish to try this, reset the EE Router AND the smart wireless extenders with a factory reset to ALL. Then re-pair the extenders to the router. My other IOT worked ok on the Main wifi all though i had kept it on Performance mode and only set the WPA2 mode off operation, not an IOS user so had now real need to have the WPA3 mode of operation, which is now a must for wi-fi 7, and unfortunately the + is heading towards the Pro operation as a EE/BT Guide will have the common this is what it looks like, and stuff all others when it does not work as you are finding out NOW....

It got so bad that i have NOW left EE as a BB provider and this was the main reason, they completely messed up the Plus without thinking about others....
