This morning there is new Pro router firmware r3.8.24-R-1531355-PROD-1 and it starts by saying use HTTPS which is then says is not available. It then requires the admin password to get into any level of access. Now testing out what it does.
It allows you to set your own DNS servers in DHCP.
It still does not let you lock the 2.4G WiFi to a channel, it keeps reverting to Channel 11

Possible I guess, but never came across this before with any of the EE routers.
Hoping to receive the update soon.

@Huggons1 If EE have pulled the FW updates for possible issue then nothing else will be sent out, those that are there stay as is so not sure if they even support a rollback FW feature but would be shocked if it did! As nothing else seems to have jumped out on the Forum then again not many possibly even look at it!

I don't know if this is specific to anyone else, but ever since this update. Our DSL connection has consistently disconnected within it being 4-5 minute downtime on average 6-7 times a day moreout in the evening. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue and if they've announced anything surrounding it.

I regularly found all connectivity failing on my Smart hub pro on 3.8.24. it got so bad I've put the smart hub pro in a drawer and I switched back to my smart hub plus. I must admit EE seem to have real problems with the firmware on their hubs. When I was on BT the router was much better.

Honestly, I appreciate actually updating their firmware as it should give you a better experience.
But for some reason, we just seem to have issues using this router. For some reason, if we upload our ping towards London ( usually 28ms ) will go upto 1650 ms with no clear fix being possible. Similar to download but not as bad, I don't know if theres a way to downgrade our firmware back to the previous patch and now we lose connectivity for no reason with no real cause given. The router quality is alot better than our previous company as it would consistently powerloop for no real reason and no cause while checking the event logs (they barely tell you anything in the first place ).

@gillon : There is no path to downgrade f/ware to earlier versions. Once it's been updated the only way is up!

@JimM11 Plugged in my original Hub after clearing the data from my EE App.
Currently I have
FW: r3.8.24-R-1531355-PROD-1 and the gui is at App Version is still 3.1.3.19
So lets see what happens overnight

No sign of any firmware updates to my Smart Hub Pro - still sitting on FW: r3.8.24-R-1531355-PROD-1

@JimM11 My spare router did not update last night. I am beginning to suspect that the App Version is the important bit as it gives access to WiFi optimiser.
Next step is to switch my extender back on which is on the later firmware version.

@JimM11 Having left the router on for a few days I am convinced now that if you are on
FW: r3.8.24-R-1531355-PROD-1
You will not get for whatever reason
FW: r3.8.26-R-1595999-PROD-1
I currently have a Router on the earlier firmware and an extender on the later firmware and both happily coexist
