Hi - I've just upgraded from the 500mb essentials package to the 900mb package. The router is the SH31B. The signal off this router isn't as good as my old BT router.  I'm just changing over bedrooms & the bedroom we're moving to, the signal isn't as strong for streaming.

I was sent a SW30A in error in Sept when I upgraded my package but cancelled it the next day. Unfortunately the cancellation didn't reach the despatch team in time & they sent the extender out. It's here still sealed ready to go back.  If I don't send it back & opt to get charged the £55 for non return.   Can I set this up to work with my SH31B.   It's a lot cheaper paying £55 rather than paying to have it included in my package..

@8062282 Do as you like, and yes it will work as the SH31/32B and the SW30A go together as a pair, just expect to possibly keep getting billed over and over for the non return if EE keep doing so, it is well within there rights to do that.

Flea bay might be the place to pick one up, but do use the current one you have to check it all out.

In what way was the SW30A sent in error? It goes with the SH31B.

If you have the EE Smart Hub 6 Plus (SH6+), model no. SH31B, of Set up your Home Broadband EE Router, the EE Smart WiFi Extender 6 Plus , model no. SW30A, of Setting up Smart WiFi goes with it.

It says a charge of £55 for non-return, not a recurring charge of £55. Would that not have to be advised first?

Yes, it would be a 1-off charge (fine).

@JimM11 may have ben thinking of being kept sent reminder emails, not bills.

Hi - When I went to upgrade in Sept, I opted to upgrade to the 900mb package which included the SW30A. I spoke to a lady in sales & they upgraded me to the £50.99 package but agreed to upgrade my router to the Wi-Fi 7 router & to send a Wi-Fi 7 extender instead of the SW30A.     Overnight, I decided I didn't want to do this (my contract doesn't run out till end of Oct)  & I phoned to cancel. Unfortunately, by the time the cancellation had been processed on the system, the extender got sent. It was a 6 not the 7.   I never got sent the WI-Fi 7 router

@8062282

When I regraded My broadband & TV service packages there were no Smart Hub 7 Pro hubs in stock so my regrade order failed, so i called up to find out what happened & somehow the system was not showing the call handlers the fact that the Routers were out of stock so she once again did my regrade turns  somehow i got dispatched 2X  Smart Hub 7 Pro hubs & 4X , WIFI Extender Pros. So i called EE sales & was told i could either send one Smart Hu 7 Pro & 2 X WIFI Extender Pros back or if i wanted to i could keep them for spares & send them back if i leave EE so i kept them for spares  at no charge , but i would suggest giving customer services a quick call regarding keeping the router just to be sure.

I wasn't eligible for the Hub 7 or the Extender 7 as part of the package I was upgrading to. I was only eligble for the Wi-Fi 6 extender.  I managed to negotiate the 7s as part of the deal. I cancelled the deal the next day anyway, but they still sent the extender 6..

Ahh i see well just for your own piece of mind might be an idea just to chat to sales.

I was on the phone today to upgrade my package. Best I could get was £36.99 for 900mbs, rather than the 500mbs I'm on now. I keep my existing hardware.  I couldn't persuade them to do anything else.
