New EE's Full Fibre BB (FTTP) only running at max 950mb ? Should be 1.6 Gbps !
I had my new install today and its only running at max 950mb down and 115 up and it should be 1.6gbps
I have the new EE SMART Hub ! Can someone advise ? I have Cat 8 Cable connected to the Yellow Ethernet ports.
Does it matter what port you put it in as its not got any label or marks to say otherwise. please advise as I am paying £25 more to get these faster speeds that I don't currently get.

@TuckerUK If it does not do a wired backhaul, then don't consider it mesh, pointless device.... How did you find the BE65 as wireless backhaul assumed you did a test to see how?

I agree hopefully more info will come out soon

Return the new router. Save yourself some money for now. I did try the BE9300, and the range wasn't that great at all.
I have contacted EE about the new Smart Hub Pro, a customer service rep has told me they will be ready for customers before end of October we will be notified. So anywhere between now and end of October. This will allow us to have Wifi 7, and the faster ethernet ports, plus you get wifi 7 boosters.

Apologies if you already know this or is not relevant but you must also make sure your desktop or laptop is running Windows 11 24H2 with the latest drivers (drivers could be a pain to find). Took me an age to find the correct drivers even after upgrading to 24H2

You don't need windows 11 or the latest drivers to get the fastest speeds so not sure where you are getting that information!!!
I have now connected my windows 10 PC Wi-Fi upstairs in my home with speeds over 1.4Gbps ! So the speeds I am paying for I am getting but I am looking forward to the new Smart pro Hub and will connect that direct to my PC once it comes out.

@iJason You are correct about the speed's from win10 on wi-fi, but @cliffy37 is correct, that all current version's of windows do not fully support wifi7 special features that are required for operating in that mode. Only then and currently under development from microsoft. Wifi5,6,6e from win10/11 will get you up close to the 1.6Gb/s speed with the appropriate matching equipment. Nic Ethernet fine, and usb 2.5Gb/s may need win11 onward, possible with win10.

@iJason check your WiFi properties probably connected at WiFi 6E (it will be on the line labeled Protocol).l You will also probably be connected to multiple-le bands if really using WiFi 7 (5Ghz & 2.4Ghz) thanks to MLO

@iJason out of curiosity how did you get on with the TP Link BE9300 is that the device you getting 1.4Gbps WiFi? If so i would just stick with that art the very least until some professional reviews of EE's offering are out

I cancelled the order and will wait out for the new Pro coming out over the coming weeks ! If I am honest I am getting 950mb now connected direct to my pc so crazy speeds so in no rush but the new speeds are much welcomed !
What I would like to know is why are the UK Upload speeds so so slow ! 115mb up so so dam slow when you look at USA on 4gb speeds up and down.

Update !
Called EE this morning ! Unless you are placing an order today for the fastest 1.6 package you will get the new pro router but anyone who ordered last week won't be getting the new pro router anytime soon ! You don't even have the option to buy it and EE have no clue or idea on if the current fastest customers will get the new Hub !
So I have gone and ordered TP Deco BE11000 as its currently getting the best reviews online for wifi 7 router and isn't crazy priced.
