We have upgraded to the Smart Hub Plus and so far the Internet speed is 100 plus which is great. I hope the below makes sense.
The previous EE router was connected to our NVR with a red Ethernet cable and using port forwarding and a DNS name server we had registered for a static IP address so we can access the CCTV remotely and this worked fine.
First of all there is no option to set up dynamic DNS in this smart hub plus like in the previous router. Not sure why they removed this and when spoke to EE they seemed unsure and one said it was for businesses only!
That red ethernet cable is now connecting the new router to the Optical Network Terminal they installed. No problem, I then connected the NVR to any of the ethernet Ports on the router but the device is not showing and cannot work out why the NVR device is not being picked up on the router this way.
If anyone can advise it would be greatly appreciated.

@Zoobs1 There is no DDNS available with the new EE Smarthub+ router, if you need that feature you may wish to stop at this point? Let me know before we proceed, and do you still have the old EE router or have you sent it back?

@Zoobs1 What was your previous router and which NVR are you using?
Did you mean a fixed LAN ip address, or did you somehow manage to get a fixed or static WAN IP address, if the latter were you previously on a Business service?
Alas DDNS is not an option on the latest smart hub - guess they ran out of memory and used it for the other features - however you may still be able to use your old router if you have not yet sent it back.
EDIT - last question, are you using the EE Digital Voice service?

Thanks for the replies. The NVR is a videoteknika turbo 3.0. Not using EE Digital Voice service.
The old EE router is attached in the picture. I have shown the back as the port 4 WAN was where we connected this to the NVR with a red ethernet. I am just guessing but the new WAN setup could where the issue is now and need to adjust this.
The new router has this WAN port separate and this is connected to the Optical Network Terminal they installed.
I was using a service from dyn.com for a static IP that was then added into the DNS option in the old router.
I am curious why the NVR connected via ethernet is not even being shown in the EE Hub manger for the new router when it is connected in any of the ethernet ports that is not a WAN. Maybe if that gets shown, then I can work out the next part with some support.

@Zoobs1 Your old router looks like the original Smart Hub, the 4th port can be used as WAN or LAN, the newer router I beleive has a dedicated WAN port.
However as already mentioned, the new router has no DDNS settings, without which you will not have any static IP.
Your simplest solution would be to use the original Hub with the 4th port set as WAN, and the DVR in another LAN port.

Question, understood not having the DDNS and this may the reason, but the NVR device should at least be picked up by the router as a device as I would still need to configure the DDNS if I could. At the moment the smart manager showing no device is connected to that port when the NVR is connected via an ethernet cable. Is there any setting on the NVR I need to change for this to do, just googling and throwing random stuff I was reading, do I enable the DHCP as this was not enabled before?

@Zoobs1 Do you know for sure that the ethernet cable between the NVR and the Lan port of the router is good? The router should pick up the NVR unless you programmed a different IP range at some time, The EE Router has DHCP by default so will assign the NVR an ip unless it is set as fixed, you could throw a laptop if you have one on the end at the NVR to prove cable and router... This guide is available from below.

@Zoobs1 without being able to log into your NVR it is hard to say, but I suspect the way it was set up before may have used a static LAN IP, rather than one allocated by the router DHCP. As Jim says have a look at the config, don't go throwing Laptops though, and see if you get any more clues.
Edit after a quick look at the manual. before connecting to the new router?
And when connected to the new router are you able to log into the DVR?
Have you rebooted the DVR

@Mustrum Not that kind of throw, maybe place a laptop on the cable! Got you🤣

Thanks for the support and advise. The new router now recognizes the DVR when I enabled the DHCP option in the DVR admin panel. I can also access the CCTV through the app but only when connected to the WiFi network and not outside, so this is the last thing to work out. Any advise would be greatly appreciated to access this from outside as beforehand it was linked to the static IP i paid for. I am also guessing I do not need the service i paid for a static IP address now if this works.
