What have you got at the mo' that you are upgrading from? Depending on that it might be down for a few mins to a few hours.

I had a contract but now I pay for the service without it. I received an offer to renew the contract and the price will be cheaper. I need a continuous Internet connection and I'm afraid that there will be a long process when updating.

I don't understand. You must already have a BB contract to upgrade it. You can't upgrade nothing. If you are paying for a service you must have, not just had, a contract.

All I'm asking is what contract for BB you currently have. Obviously how long an upgrade will take depends on from what to what.

Please explain more clearly.

@valdisz  you would be best giving the Broadband support team a call. Renewing your contract will save you money, and if you do upgrade you will not notice any downtime.

As you are already on Fibre Plus BB with landline there would be no change to your BB package if you take EE's offered upgrade. It is just a move to a new contract with a new min. term at a cheaper price. It's purely accounting. There will be no downtime.

If you stay on your current contract & not upgrade then when you reach the end of your min. contract term your bill will increase at that time as you would've been informed when you took it out.

When updating the contract at the final stage, say that the master will come to connect only after 2 weeks. And that I will be without Internet for two weeks?

It always takes about at least 2 weeks from ordering to carrying out the change. That doesn't mean your BB is down over that 2 weeks. It's just for scheduling the change. It'll probably be down for a few mins, if that, as you're moving from like to like.
