Microsoft Teams

Since switching to EE I have found that the quality when using Teams is not great - buffers on video calls and freezes. Other colleagues who are with EE have the same issue. Fine on all other platforms - WhatsApp etc. Are EE aware of this?

I've been having Teams issues for a while, mainly when trying to share my screen and hadn't known what it was.  But earlier this week, my employer (with around 70k employees) has put out an update to employees about the issue and it being down to EE.

You'd think EE would be wanting to get this sorted quickly, as it can't be a great thing if you've got large employers in the UK near enough telling their staff to go with another provider to solve the issue as EE aren't fixing it.

I've posted this on the other thread, but its a possible workaround:

If you have Intel Connectivity Performance Suite installed on your device can you confirm:

Advanced Connection Manager -> turn off Advanced Connection Manager

I'm having this issue too.

Any solutions yet?

I just came across this thread.

I too am on EE broadband and for the last number of months have an issue when screen sharing on MS Teams.  There are at least 3 of us in the office on EE broadband facing the same issue.  Like others I have noted:

- Seems to only affect adhoc teams calling (as opposed to scheduled meeting)
- EE mobile hotspot works fine
- Zoom meetings work fine
- Work laptop in the office works fine

My company are now liaising with EE as this has been confirmed as an EE issue and affecting large numbers of staff.

I've signed up to the forum just for this issue. I'm Part of the I.T department for our company and we have users who are on EE Full Fibre and when screen sharing it just doesn't work properly.

Now, here is the strange thing. one user is currently using a Dell 5550 laptop on windows 10 this has no issues on the same network with teams, we sent out a new Dell Pro with windows 11 on it and this laptop has the teams screen share issues. Unless is some config the ISP doesn't like on windows 11 computers it makes no sense which in the same house 1 laptop is ok and 1 is not.

Tried a new EE router still the same, tried a 3rd party router still the same, Use hotspot or another persons Wifi no issues at all

Hi Craig

Did you see my suggestion above?

If you have Intel Connectivity Performance Suite installed on your device can you confirm:

Advanced Connection Manager -> turn off Advanced Connection Manager

Dell may have its own version of network management software , if not Intel, that does a similar thing.

Anything to do with traffic management, 'advanced' connectivity or prioritization seems to upset/confuse the EE routers/upstream kit.

My organisation already has this disabled as default so was sadly not a fix

regardless this is clearly an EE issue and they seem to be very quiet on it. Even the offer of support in this thread has not been forthcoming

This what my company had suggested as a work around for those of us on EE - seems to work but have to do it for every individual call so not ideal.
