Since switching to EE I have found that the quality when using Teams is not great - buffers on video calls and freezes. Other colleagues who are with EE have the same issue. Fine on all other platforms - WhatsApp etc. Are EE aware of this?

It's great to see release notes on f/w https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Broadband-Landline/EE-Hub-firmware-versions/td-p/1624543
On the other hand there is quite a number of issues and not just on the latest 7+ router The PN hub 2 got its first update in quite a while - I've had more issues in the first couple of weeks of EE 7+ than in a long time with PN. I guess it needs frequent contributors to have EE BB and ISP router for issues to get frequently discussed and the PN community had good feedback from staff.

There's mention of "Fix - Ethernet/wired devices taking a long time to establish connection" for 7 Pro but not 7+ I've improved PC time from hibernate but it's still sluggish from sleep and quite slow on ATV 4K
There is mention of "New - IPv6 DNS" There's the issue of hub showing "IPv6 network status: Disabled" and "DNS: IPv4 only" even if IPv6 seems to work - so is this related?
There's the issue on 7+ of main WIFI turning itself back on after hub restart if main is off and compatible on.

@jak26 Baby steps is the requirement for fixes. Time is irrelevant in the scope.

My understanding is that the delayed Ethernet negotiation didn't affect the 7 Plus but I could be wrong. How slow is 'slow'? Previously on the other devices there were reports of it taking ~half a minute or so.

I don't think so. I reckon it relates the to the DNS IP addresses that are assigned by DHCP. Previously connected devices were only dished out an IPv4 address; they now get an IPv6 address too. I'm not sure the network status should show disabled, but DNS showing IPv4 is expected as the BT DNS servers assigned to the hub do not support IPv6 (yet?)

Not seen this one. How do you mean? Independently disabling 2.4GHz and 5GHz on the main network whilst leaving Compatible WiFi enabled? Do you have Compatible WiFi on 2.4GHz only, or both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? I might try and replicate the problem if I get a spare 5 mins. Out of curiosity, why do you have things configured like this?

I’m so glad I switched to Sky all those months ago, such a faff from EE.

Thanks @bobpullen
I'm still waiting for r4.27.1
From switching to EE and Hub 7+ the first thing noticeable was network device discovery seemed slower and the time taken to get an internet connection on a PC and and ATV 4K - i.e. when the network icon stops flashing - took longer than before - in particular the NAS device name was very slow to appear.
I tried a few things like network reset from W11 settings, change a couple of W11 services related to SSDP discovery to Automatic (delayed), select 'use same IP address' in the hub
This has improved NAS discovery and the connection time is now OK after resume from hibernate, a little delayed on wake from sleep, and still slow on ATV 4K - but all in the 10s range not the 30s+ that prob led to the f/w fix.
The devices are connected via an Access Point (a router in AP mode providing WiFi and LAN sockets) and then to the Hub 7+ LAN socket and this AP might be part of the issue so replacing the AP is next on the list.

Re. IPv6 - recently something network wise might have changed as the IPv6 test site now scores 10/10 where previously it failed on the test for the DNS Server not supporting IPv6
IPv6 does seem to work - devices do get IPv6 addresses and an IPv6 DNS address etc - from looking at W11 settings -> advanced network settings -> hardware and connection settings
However I'm confused by the hub saying "IPv6 network status: Disabled" and "DNS: IPv4 only" which was mentioned last year in https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Broadband-Landline/Smart-Hub-Pro-and-IPV6/td-p/1527624
----
From the hub 7+ I'm only using its LAN sockets and compatible 2.4 and so main 2.4 and 5 are switched off. Whenever the hub is restarted main WIFI turns itself back on (main SSIDs show up and the settings in the dashboard are on). They can then be turned off again and stay off until the next restart.

@jak26 You may not get it yet that FW version is possibly pulled as a, BAD BAD BAD or not released, lot was going on with the 6+ version at the time.......
Nobody as yet on a 7Plus version of the EE Hub has reported anything later than the Jan 2026 version but you just never know.
Try EE, they might be able to confirm if it got released for unit FW updates? Copy to @James_B

I found a link where I could request the latest v4. FW to be pushed to my router. That seems to have been done within a day or so and having tested Teams after the upgrade it seems to have been running seamlessly.
Anyone else that got the update been able to test?
I can't remember which form I completed requesting the early update - maybe someone can share that if they have it

@rlyness The Form request has been removed now, and the EE Normal Push method is in effect for the FW Updates!

Thanks @JimM11 - I must have just got in before they removed it
Also, huge thanks to @bobpullen - has helped me on this and another post over the last few weeks. Much appreciated

@rlyness Think you might find a few who chip in especially Teams wise, was a bit off a hot topic at times. You can only hope someone is checking all the post's and may reply, the norm is fixed now so who cares and no feedback!
Anyhow glad it's all working and hopefully it stay's that way!!!!
