What difficulties? Are you replacing the initial 0 of UK number by +44?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

The US party dials my UK number and the call does not connect, we have checked and verified numbers. The call is from a standard US landline to my digital UK landline. Never used to have any issue with BT on their old system. We have verified dialling country codes etc.

@Monique77 , have they tried 0044 instead to see if that works?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

@Monique77 No other issues with the DV service, just that particular call that you are aware off? Also have a look at your call protect service that you have, see the extract below.

With your Call Protect service, we
identify and add a list of nuisance
callers who we’ll send straight to your
junk voicemail, cutting down your
unwanted calls. This is the BT Blacklist
and is turned on automatically with
your new service.
Your own Personal Blacklist is also
turned on automatically with your
new service and allows you to send
numbers to your junk voicemail.
It puts you back in control of your
calls: you can block certain call
types, like Withheld, International or
Unrecognised numbers, sending them
straight to your Personal Blacklist.

@Monique77

Has the US party tried calling any other UK landline number, to confirm the issue is not on their end?

Ali

Hi, thank you

0044 instead of what, the US party is dialling 011-44- etc

I verified on the AT&T website.

M
Thank you

Yes the only party that cannot get thru I have removed the number from favourites and verified blocked numbers.

I receive calls from Germany, it is just the USA.

M
Hi, no we have not tried that but I shall arrange it. Thank you

M

@Monique77 , it is not 01144, it is either 0044 or +44 for the UK as a prefix, it looks like the person was dialling the wrong prefix for UK, if indeed they were using 01144, which is incorrect.
