Have you tried physically switching the hub off/back on?

Perhaps a daft question but is the handset talk volume etc. set correctly?

If you log into the Hub Manager at http://192.168.1.254 does the Phone tile/section indicate anything untoward?

Another more nuclear option would be to try a factory reset of the hub by inserting something into the pinhole at the rear of the device until the LED goes green/hub reboots. Note, this will clear any settings you have changed from their default values and you would need to re-register the handset again.

What phone and hub are you using and how is the phone connected to the hub? What do you mean by 'reset connection to broadband'?

Handset HD voice, Hub EE. Connected by WPS. Reset connection by WPS

@bobpullen Will also wipe out any changes that were made to the DV contacts list unless later FW is now keeping them, do you know per chance Bob if that is the case on the later EE Routers not sure what the BT Smarthub2 does but at least you can go back them all up before hand!

@JimM11 - yes, still clears them all out as far as I can tell. The BT Smart Hub 2 is the same. There is an import contacts option on both hubs but no export option on the newer EE routers, only the BT Smart Hub 2 😕

I created a vCard file and update it manually so that if required I can import it into the Smart Hub Plus. See post #7 here https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Digital-Home-Phone/Exporting-Contacts/td-p/1549054
