Wireless printer

My HP printer worked fine with my old EE router but since I have had a Smart hub fitted I can’t connect the printer to the WiFi, power cycled both , pressed the WPS button but the printer just keeps flashing with no connection , surely this shouldn’t be a problem ??
can you help ??

@Bally16701   You say you’ve pressed the WPS button on the printer but what about pressing it the router as well ?

@Bally16701   which router model do you have and which printer model?

The newer EE Routers are WiFi6 which older devices and printers cannot cope with. However there is an option for a compayible feature to be implemented which should allow the printer to connect.

If you log into the router you should find the option in Advanced WiFi options.

Hi @Bally16701

Can you connect via your pc and a cable/hp app.

It may just be incompatible.

Try searching the forums as this and cannon printers are posted regularly.

Thanks
