Feature request: Allow fixed non-DFS 5 GHz channel selection on Smart Hub 7 Pro

I'd like to request a firmware feature for the EE Smart Hub 7 Pro.

Please add the ability to disable Smart Channel selection on the 5 GHz band and manually select a fixed non-DFS channel (36/40/44/48).

I am using a TP-Link Archer C5400X as a WDS wireless bridge, with the C5400X connected by Ethernet to a PC. This works extremely well — currently achieving around 615 Mbps download and 114 Mbps upload.

However, the Smart Hub 7 Pro automatically changes its 5 GHz channel. It recently moved from channel 36 to channel 100 (DFS), at which point the TP-Link WDS bridge could no longer see/connect to the EE 5 GHz network.

I understand the benefit of Smart Channel selection for normal users, but there are legitimate use cases such as wireless bridges, WDS devices and other fixed wireless infrastructure where a predictable 5 GHz channel is important.

I'm not asking for manual DFS channel selection. Simply providing an advanced option to select one of the non-DFS channels 36/40/44/48 would solve the problem while avoiding radar/DFS complications.

Could EE consider adding this option to a future Smart Hub 7 Pro firmware update?

This would also make the hub considerably more compatible with third-party wireless bridge equipment.

@SharkChris Wouldn't it just, do not hold any hope off getting anything you request to be done, EE does not want or wish you to be doing anything to there hub. If you need to get a third party one to do what you need.
