Enabling IPV6 for Xbox Series X

Hi. We’ve recently switched to EE and I’m trying to get an Xbox Series X to pickup IPV6 but have no clue how to do this. Can anyone help? It shows that it’s enabled on the router, so why isn’t the console picking it up? It picked it up just fine when we had Sky.

@Hadleytom88 Are you having any specific problem that you can see otherwise?

Anyone from EE on here or someone who’s knowledgeable about routers able to help?

@Hadleytom88 Yes, there is nothing wrong with the router!

It's automatic. Which hub do you have? If you're showing as enabled it's nothing to do with the router as it's doing it's job - just that the Xbox is refusing to use it.

It was automatic when I had the Sky Router, so not sure why it isn’t with this one? I believe it’s the Smart Hub? The WiFi 6 router.

You could always call EE customer service and ask their tech team - but if the router is showing that it's enabled then it should automatically pick it up on the xbox.

@Hadleytom88 What other devices do you have connected like a smart phone, does it get an IPV6 address?

Do you know how to look in the router to see what IPV6 if any that is being assigned?
