Hi All. I currently have FTTP with EE which came with a white EE Smart Router. My wife doesn't like the white colour at all. Therefore is it possible to change this and use a black EE Smart Hub instead and if so are there any downsides?

Have you switched WAN Port ON on the Advanced Settings > Broadband > Internet page & connected the ONT to the Red WAN Port 4?

Thanks for your reply which is really helpful. Do you know if there are any downsides to using the black EE Smart Hub instead of the white EE Smart Router. Thanks

None that I'm aware of other than you can't use EE Smart WiFi with it.

@wgwright thanks. I would be interested if you notice any performance difference if you do change to the Smart Hub.
I have a theory that they upgraded the internal Firewall speeds for the white Smart Router to work with FTTP, But not sure if it is noticeable!

@XRaySpeX I have now managed to get hold of a black EE smart hub. However when I connect up to this I can only get as far as green flashing lights showing on the front of the router and no further. Grateful for any suggestions.

@XRaySpeX The router is connected via red WAN port. Not sure how to turn the WAN port on?
If I plug the router in I can't login to it to change any settings as it is not connected.
