Hi All. I currently have FTTP with EE which came with a white EE Smart Router. My wife doesn't like the white colour at all. Therefore is it possible to change this and use a black EE Smart Hub instead and if so are there any downsides?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

You can login to any router even when it has no BB connection. Login to your EE SH at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router.

@XRaySpeX I have tried that using a safari browser and just get a message saying I can't login as safari is not connected to the Internet. I have tried using Chrome and that doesn't work either?

Have you got a PC directly connected to the router, preferably by Ethernet?

@XRaySpeX I think what I was missing was that I needed to use an ethernet cable to connect between my router and a computer. As I only have an ipad or a tablet it's not as straightforward. So have now purchased a USB hub that includes an ethernet port which I can also connect to my ipad or tablet. Due to be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully once I have this connected up I will be able to login to the router and then activate the WAN port!!
Will let you know how I get on.
