EE Broadband APP WifI Controls not working

Mart30

I have recently signed up to EE Broadband.   My broadband is working fine, however the APP WiFi controls feature and the Wifi enhancer are not available on the app or via the website.   An error message appears and states it is a problem with EE.  I  have spoken with the technical team at EE on two occasions and they have recommended i reinstall the APP and restart the router.  I have now done this many times and the APP features are still not working.   This is very very VERY frustrating!    I am going in circles with the EE technical team and it is not clear how or if this will be resolved.  EE is not living up to expectations.  If there is an issue, i would prefer EE acknowledge the fault and advise when it will be fixed rather than directing me to do the same thing over and over again (i.e reinstall the app).   Can anybody help?   Is this new feature just a myth?

Unfortunately same here. No update but mine didn’t even go to TMC they just told me they are aware of the issue and they are waiting for the app to be updated possibly this week. I know some people had some luck after resetting everything multiple times but I have tried like 10 times to start from scratch and it didn’t work. It is time consuming each time so I’ve given up for now. Really disappointed in EE…

I am also having this issue, having recently changed to EE for broadband, the WiFi control sold it to me as I would like to be able to remotely turn it off as my son sneaks on his x box and stupid o clock. I'm getting rather annoyed about it now

You can set up parental controls via the xbox family app.

Same issue here.  Switched from BT to EE mid December.  EE home app does not recognise I am connected to the Hub.  No WiFi controls in the EE app, no smart discs visible in the network hub manager but I can connect directly with a cable to a disk so I know they are connected.  Wish I had stayed with BT it worked with no faults.

@Dondo50 : I don't believe the EE Home app works with the Smart Hub Plus; it was intended for the EE Smart Router.

That would explain the issues with EE Home, all other issues are in the EE App.  It continually returns error messages and fails to allow smart WiFi control.

I have the same problem EE have informed me that the broadband app control is not working for anyone ?

They should be shot whoever decided to config much of the router settings from an app necessitating a smartphone which not every user may have or wish to use for config'ing a router. We all notice how good  EE is at coding apps!

I also switched from BT to EE and have spent a week trying to get the EE app to work properly. It is simply the worst App I have come across, it is not fit to be in public use. After endless attempts to get Smart (???) Wifi set up , I gave up and connected my extenders into the router with Ethernet cables. They were finally detected by the router and appeared in the app. Next day, the app says ‘Setup your Smart WiFi’! With continual errors saying ‘Our Fault - try later’ the app is appalling.

I would be happy to use the router interface in the browser, however, that doesn’t work correctly either! Mine currently does show both extenders as being connected to the hub, but shows each extender as having no devices connected to them. I’m sure that isn’t the case. Also, the option to run a speed test on the router interface doesn’t work - it is just a link to an EE webpage that tells me to create an EE ID, which of course I have…

Come on EE, this is just not good enough.
