Can anyone please help us. We switched from BT to EE early September and without any agreement from us EE have disconnected our landline and have so far failed to reconnect it despite daily calls to request a reconnection. At no time did we request or authorise the landline disconnection. The landline is very important to us because the mobile signal is poor locally and most people use landlines. We can get no explanation why EE disconnected, we are not overdue on payments but we are desparate to get the landline up and running. Can anyone help please. We have had promises of reconnection but they never happen.

@KMW101043 tranditional landlines have not been available when you change service for over a year now.
Have you asked for or been provided Digital Voice? You phone plugs into your router rather than the phone line.
What broadband service do you have with EE?

Thanks for your reply. We have a standard broadband contract which works OK. Speeds OK. Should we have been offered a digital voice phone insteaf of a land line? Do we need to change to digital voice to retain a land line?

@KMW101043 to keep a landline number, yes you should have been switched to Digital Voice. You need to contact EE as soon as you can before your number is lost if the number is important to you.

@KMW101043 The landline as you call it, known as the telephone landline, the cable from OR to your home is still a line, the only difference is that the normal old way of having the phone is now redundant, its all digital now, phone plugs into the back of the EE router, or to a digital adapter that you can plug into a mains socket to send the signal wirelessly to the router.
And this all depends on wither your exchange has this, but 90% of them now support and require you to go DV.
