Why are EE so uncompetive on price in comparison to competitors?.
Is it because a large tract of their customer base just renew blindy?

everything mate, they are just expensive across the board.
im in a city fibre area, 16 providers, can get a better router and 900 for £26 per month, with a shorter contract and no in contract price increases.
all 16 are much cheaper than bt/ee, across all packages.
now, i know ee/bt charge what they do, because folk blindy pay and renew, but they are profiteering imho.
i just checked my offers to move from bt to ee on the same package...the offer is to pay £3 per month more...lol when i can and will save hundreds of pounds by moving to cityfibre on contract expiry.
its a serious question, why are they charging so much? Because folk pay it?
as an aside i have a second sim to go with my EE, lebara, currently pay 99 pence per month for 20GB.....no appreciable difference in signal quality, speeds are different, in the 300s with EE, low 100s with Lebara, which is more than enough for the hardest of tasks.

@marco806 Very competitive industry with all the new fibre products out and about, EE business model depicts there charges, and you as the customer get all the choice about what/where/when/why, same with mobile, ditch your EE and go totally Lebara, huge saving's.

@marco806 To have 300meg you are paying for a unlimited tariff and by your own admission you you don’t need that. So why make that statement that seems to imply you don’t need that network speed which obviously you pay more for. You could have got a cheaper tariff that only has 100meg I don’t understand that comment as you happily agreed to that tariff and the costs involved with it then make this statement.

ill be moving from the mobile also, yes i was happy to pay 9 per month for 15gb, obviously much better deals elsehwere..
my question stands, why are they so expensive when there is no appreciable difference in quality...

its the complete indifference to the competition.....they know im in a cityfibre area, but dont care that i will move, given they have so many folk paying their inflated prices.
i will add ive been very happy with my broadband, but folk with cityfibre in my location say you get a better router and better up and down speeds.
i will be moving, but im just interested why folk are happy to pay hundreds of pounds more for no good reason other than they cant be bothered with the "hassle" of another ONT etc.

one last thing, everyone at bt is getting that offer to move to EE, where the offer is to pay more.
you are asked to click on the link to do this online, but of course , you get an error message when you appear on the EE page and told to phone which i did this morning. The very nice man, well aware that the website is a car crash that just does not work.
You now get someone who deals with both BT and EE , a slow step in the right direction...I asked him to check my offers, nice boy , he could do nothing but laugh when he told me my offer was to pay more for the same thing.
nothing he can do of course......feel sorry for their employees.
