Broadband connection drops daily

Hi, I moved to EE  full fibre to the house broadband in December.  I have a Sky Q box dating from May 2024.   All was well till this week when the internet connection drops almost daily.   I unplug Sky and there’s no problem resetting.  I don’t have to reenter the WiFi password but it is a bore.   I am afraid I do not understand your response to a previous correspondent Ona similar issue and wondered if you could explain in simple terms what I could to do resolve this issue.  I can’t use a cable.  All other WiFi is fine.  I do not have mini Sky boxes just the one Sky Q box.

Many thanks.

Sarah

@XRaySpeX @Sarah1948 Whatever happened the pictures got through and posted up, so can see it is the SH32B version and just checked my label which is the SH31B so it should all tie together, and no front picture will be required, as can see not grilled front stand plate from the image that was posted.

@Sarah1948 Your fix to the router may get kind off technical now, with regards to change off router operation and if that SH32B has been updated to the FW with the compatible wi-fi feature which ideally it should have done. But 1st have you tried switching off the router for 5-10mins and then restarting it?

Have also just sent you a PM, envelope above will let you see.

I'd still like to see a front pic., thank you, as I can't see why the OP insisted it was a SH (2023) model half the time.

The original pix have now been rejected.

@XRaySpeX Thinking this is going to be the c. date issue, when supplied end off the year, do think that some of the + versions where getting out then at around timescale but maybe wrong. As you see have asked for a power off/on, the latest FW dropped has a lot to answer for and i see that on my router.

Hi Jim

I have switched the router on/off and this has worked.   (I had lost connection this morning but it is working now).  I will monitor to see what happens.   I am also keeping an eye on Sky Community as well as this issue has now been escalated.   Very grateful for all your help.   Fingers crossed this has done the trick!

Yes, that conforms that it's the SH Plus (SH32B). It doesn't have air-holes in the base. I just didn't understand why you kept repeating it was the SH (2023) model.

@Sarah1948 Just post back if you still have issues, this is hard to say, SKY or an EE at present, so we will do the baby steps and see were we go.
