we live in a rural setting with very poor ee mobile signal - for four years open reach reports it’s trying to re install a mast at Craven Arms south Shropshire-
when the power fails we loose all phone signals - we’re on fttp -
EE and Bt were obliged to protect vulnerable customers ability to make emergency and fault report / family alert calls by providing batteries -
half of EE says they don’t do this
the other half says EE do but don’t deliver them
helo ?

Hi @Juggler
You'll find its only guidelines and not an obligation.
Any mast based battery backup would need to be a considerate investment and wouldn't last long anyway due to the demant of the equipment.
999 calls connect to any available network however you will always get areas where there is no coverage for various reasons.
Thanks

@Juggler Who is your broadband with?

We are with EE mobile and BT broadband. The problem is we have a very poor mobile signal and when the power goes down at least two vulnerable families in our village are unable to contact emergency services breakdown services or family members of EE say they do provide a BBU, Other say they don’t who would we order one from even if we have to pay for it for our village?
