BT Discs Black with EE

I have just been moved to EE under a new contract, as I need my phone moved to 5G, they told me to do the broadband at the same time as they are all one company.. now they are sending a new smart hub plus.. but I use BT discs and they are not compatible! But I can pay 10 a month for extenders! I feel ripped off now! I will send the new hub back and keep using my old one.. is this going to be OK? Really feel ripped off here. Can I revert contract?

Did another actual speedtest using the Devolo’s not the throughput and it’s about 60mb less that the throughput …. It also depends on whatever you have physically plugged into your home that can effect the speed you get but I’m happy with around 500mb on WiFi as there are no hungry units that need masses of fast or large data , my Daikin air source heat pump controller & Tesla Powerwall 2 regularly uses WiFi to do their firmware and software updates and work seamless both are situated in the garage so a good 20metres  away from the router.  Through  3 walls  with one devolo remote unit in the bedroom above.i must be fortunate that our house wiring has not degraded so far 🙂
