Gpt summary -

EE FTTP down, CHAP authentication failure on both custom router and EE Hub

Broadband dropped this yesterday and will not reconnect.
Openreach ONT lights are normal:
Power green
PON solid green
LOS off
Using both OPNsense and the official EE Smart Hub gives the same result. Smart Hub flashes orange.

PPPoE logs show:
CHAP authentication failure
LCP authorization failed
Connecting to access concentrator acc-aln2.ra
Reconnection loop
Username in use: bthomehub@btbroadband.com
So fibre link is up and PPP session reaches EE, but authentication is being rejected.

No recent internal changes to network. Line was working fine previously.

Has anyone seen this recently with EE? Looks like a RADIUS or backend provisioning issue rather than physical line fault.

So I was lied to by the agent... Balls I don't hold hope it will be fixed anytime soon either then 😔

mine just came back on, gettting expected speeds of 1.6gb, I previously had no internet.

Awesome Glad it's back! I see a few reports of this now so seems the fix is trickling out.

great news 🙂

did you have to power cycle the ONT and EE Hub, or did it just return to full service with no intervention needed?

I restarted it about an hour ago, but it just started working about 15mins ago on its own, no additional restart

Just got home and powerd cycled the ONT. Not sure if that was that or just coincidence in timing.

Now have full 1.7GBs down and 120 up on my router.  Pings looking good too.

Speedtest on PC below

The lack of comunication on this has been dire and makes me think about swapping away from EE!!

Atrocious customoer service.

Still down in the IP11 Ipswich/Suffolk area, as others have expressed, the lack of communication is what makes it all worse.

Is there anything we can claim back for the complete shut down of internet access?

Automatic compensation for broadband or landline issues | Broadband Help | EE

Basically as the service went down Saturday you aren't due compensation till Tuesday. Well that's if they include Saturday and Sunday as working days, if not then looking at Thursday!

Yes, @brucie50b , normally you would be eligible for Automatic compensation for broadband or landline issues but only after the 1st 2 working  days, which in this case starting last Fri. amounts to nowt.
