phone has switched off despite charge

my phone has completely switched off Samsung A7. unable to switch it back on despite putting it on charge

Welcome to the community.

 

Can you try a soft reset of the phone?

 

This is done by pressing and holding both the volume down key and the power button at the same time for ten seconds.
