Upfront cost refund

I tried to buy mobile on contract, and after I paired the upfront cost, it showed that the process failed. But it charged my £30 upfront cost. Why would it charge me if I can’t but it. Why do I have to wait 14 business days to get refunded on something I didn’t get and not eligible to get. It should check first before it charges me or it should refund me right away.

If the sales process failed then the cancellation of the payment sits with your bank. If however the payment was taken and processed by EE then it will take 14 days to reimburse.
